A 15 fold increase in EV charging points is needed to achieve EU goals

It has been reported that Europe needs to increase EV charging points fifteen fold by 2030 to achieve their “climate neutral” vision.

This increase is more than the EU Comission has planned for as they have estimated that by 2025 they will need approximately 1 million charging points.

In contrast, these figures have been challenged by Mobility Analysts who estimate that by 2025 we will need up to 1.3 million charging points and up to 3 million by 2030.

This estimation is based on an estimated 44 million electric vehicles being on European roads by 2030.
