UN launches worlds biggest climate survey
Experts in climate science, game development and public polling came together to create a climate survey in the form of a game.
The Mission 1.5 campaign will be targeting an audience of 20 million people. If successful, this would be the largest climate survey worldwide.
The survey comes a result of the disconnection between the government and the population on the subject of climate change actions.
Furthermore, the web and mobile optimized game enables players to take on the role of a policy maker. The player makes decisions on how to keep within the Paris Agreement goal.
Additionally, once the game has ended players are asked a series of questions. These questions can be which key climate actions they want to see come into play. This will provide accurate data from the public, a data pool that usually lacks in content.
