TEC Annual Conference 2025: Sharing challenges, opportunities and celebrating success

More than 100 delegates gathered for TEC’s Annual Conference which focused on reducing energy costs, consumption and carbon.

In addition to hearing from expert speakers across the higher education and energy sectors, TEC members discussed how they had successfully implemented low-cost energy and carbon reduction initiatives at their institutions. Framework partners were also on hand to discuss services with members.

One of the most popular sessions focused on reducing cost and carbon in the built environment, led by Graham Lewis at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Space optimisation, energy waste, water savings, and heat network zoning and regulation, were amongst the other workshop topics.

Adam Clarke, TEC’s Managing Director, said: “Against the backdrop of a particularly challenging year for the sector, it was deeply impressive to hear what institutions continue to achieve in the energy and carbon reduction space. It was also fantastic to witness the start of so many conversations around shared learning, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge and experience. Thank you to everyone who came and contributed to an open, engaging and collaborative atmosphere”.

Any members who would like to explore any ideas or opportunities discussed at the conference should get in touch with their MSA.
