London ranks as one of the most eco-friendly cities globally

London has been found to be the most eco-friendly city to work in worldwide. These findings are according to a study conducted by British Business Energy which ranks cities globally by their impact on the environment.

London secured the number one spot by flaunting a 12.7% tree canopy cover along with 33% renewable energy production.

London was followed closely by Cambridge (in 3rd position) who have over 66% of cyclists and pedestrians, whilst Oslo in Norway followed closely behind (in 4th position) featuring a 97.2% renewable share in total energy production.

In contrast, Cape Town and Johannesburg ranked at the other end of the scale. This is due to the number of green commuters which was 4% in Cape Town and 0.4% in Johannesburg.
