Scotland to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2045
Research into Scotland’s agriculture sector has stated that they will be able to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 38% by 2045.
On Scotland’s road to a net zero emissions society, this report looks at system level changes that could deliver significant carbon savings.
Following on from this, WWF is looking at the Scottish Government to look at the policies and framework around this industry to support farmers in adapting to climate change.
As a result, University officials have claimed that Scotland could make this change in their agriculture sector and “show the world how to secure rural livelihoods, enhance biodiversity and rapidly cut emissions”.
