New board appointment Andy Davies FCIPS, Natural History Museum
TEC takes pride that our public sector not-for-profit consortium is operated “by the members, for the members”. This is perhaps best demonstrated through the make-up and engagement of our Non-Executive Board. Our Non-Executive Directors make a substantive and measurable contribution to the decisions of the board and as such, to the growth and delivery of the mission and strategy of our organisation.
Andy Davies FCIPS
We’d like to welcome Andy Davies FCIPS, Procurement Manager at the Natural History Museum to our board. This world-class visitor attraction and leading science research centre are one of the twenty pioneering institutions involved in the first aggregated renewable PPA conducted in the UK market.
Andy, joins us with a wealth of knowledge; a procurement practitioner with over 30 years’ experience in both public and private sectors and an advocate for promoting respect for human rights in public supply chains, he was named in 2018 as one of the UK Top100 Corporate Modern Slavery Influencers’ Index.
Formerly Andy was the Director of London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), a respected non-profit, progressive and socially-responsible collaborative buying organisation in London’s higher education, arts, sciences and cultural sectors that has taken a leading role in responsible public procurement.
Under his leadership LUPC, saved a total of £300m in areas as diverse as estates maintenance, legal services and IT. Simultaneously introducing new technology in spend analysis, eTendering and social media.
