About this event

We invite you to join us for a webinar on 25th April from 11am – 12pm, where we will discuss the latest developments in the Government’s Heat Network Zoning Policy, its potential impact on universities, and details on the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES), including how to apply.

The Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) is a £75 million government-funded programme designed to help operators of existing district heat and communal heating schemes improve efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and reduce costs.

HNES provides funding for optimisation studies, typically up to £24,000 with no match funding required. It also offers 50% capital grant funding to implement efficiency improvements identified in these studies.

Round 9 of HNES is currently open for applications, closing on 28th March 2025, while Round 10 is expected later in the year, with dates yet to be announced.

Join us to learn how the Greater South East Net Zero Hub and other Net Zero Hubs can support universities in applying.
