Conference Energy Education

Energy & Education Connected – Exciting Agenda!

Our free CPD Accredited Energy and Education conference takes place on Thursday, 5th of December in Birmingham.

We’re proud and excited to be bringing together energy experts and professionals from across the sector and a partner innovation area featuring EDF Energy, Corona Energy, Mitie & AUDE. This is all alongside a jam-packed speaker line-up.

Energy & Education Connected (Main Auditorium Agenda):

Opening the conference and introducing our first speaker Richard Murphy (Managing Director) will be a special guest! Richard will be taking you through the evolution of TEC from it’s humble beginnings twenty-five years ago as part of our 25th Anniversary celebrations.

Energy expert and Non Exec Chair Jo Butlin will then be talking about evolution, disruption and changes to the Energy industry.

We’re excited to have Tom Palmer independent expert from Cornwall Insight speaking on the potential changes to energy regulation, policy and supply markets. There will be a particular focus on how these will impact institution estates and the challenges with topics such as “Private Wire” and “Demand Side Response” being covered.

Energy prices are becomingly increasingly linked to weather conditions and we’ve got Georg Mueller, Meteorologist from Reuters Refinitiv taking us through the “Predictability of hot and cold snaps related to Climate Change”. Exactly, how do you go about forecasting these events as they become increasingly common?

With GEN Z expected to form nearly a quarter of the global workforce by 2020 and the generation that the Economist called “Stressed, depressed and exam obsessed”, what do you need to know about connecting, communicating and engaging with them (beyond admissions) and how are they influencing the HE Sector?

Afternoon Workshop Speaker Sessions:

In association with our members and supported by the following: JRP Consulting, Schneider, Ramboll, Ongen and kWIQly. Workshop sessions will include; Behavioural Change, BMS Optimisation, District Heat Networks, Implementing Renewable Energy Technology and AMR DNA Gas and Electricity Analytics.
