EDPR and ENGIE combine offshore wind assets

A joint venture in fixed and floating offshore wind has been agreed by ENGIE and EDPR.

This venture is a result of an agreement the companies made in May 2019. The collaboration brings together the expertise of both organisations.

As a result of the venture, they plan to reach between 5GW to 7GW of projects in operation or construction and 5GW to 10GW under development by 2025.

Therefore, to achieve their targets, they are starting with 1.5GW under construction and 3.7GW under development.

The collaboration will target markets in Europe, the US and areas throughout Asia.
