We’re thrilled to announce our second keynote speaker – Andrew Verity. Andrew is an award-winning Economics Correspondent for BBC News, covering finance and business on BBC Radio and TV as well as reporting for Panorama, BBC Newsnight and BBC Radio 4’s investigative strand, File on Four. A Presenter of early morning business and financial news on BBC Radio 4 and Radio Five Live, Andy can be heard on the Today programme, Radio Four’s Six O’clock News and the BBC News TV channel.
Our Framework Suppliers Wave Utilities, EDF Energy and Corona Energy will be supporting the conference again this year and will be available to discuss any questions you may have regarding the Framework.

Energy & Carbon Reduction Update
September Webinars We are putting together a series of webinars for September 2025. Here is a list of what we have planned, which we wanted to publish early due to colleagues taking leave and the usual busyness of summer at our member institutions. Contact your MSA for the registrations links.
Friday 12th Sept 11am – Solar Investigations – Dan Fernbank from the University of Reading will present a detailed technoeconomic assessment of rooftop and solar carpark canopy solar PV potential on the University of Reading’s academic campuses, as well as renewable energy generation and energy storage potential on landholdings offsite. Environmental Insight Partners, who carried out the study, will be on hand for more technical questions. Friday 19th Sept 11am – Heritage Buildings Guide – Molly Gregory from Greater South East Net Zero Hub will present their Heritage Building Decarbonisation Guide including information on stakeholder management for a heritage project and a checklist of where to begin and best practice. Please note this is not a technical guide. Friday 26th Sept 11am – Heat Pumps Guide – Chris Parkin from Greater South East Net Zero Hub will present their recently published guidance on specifying the Design, Installation and Commissioning of heat pump systems.
