About the Event

This year the SUMS Annual Conference will be delivered as an in-person event on Thursday 23rd February. The conference will be held in London at the Woburn House Conference Centre.

The Sustainable University:

Students and staff expect their universities to put sustainability – both financial and environmental – at the top of their priority list.  Inflationary pressures, real-terms decreases in student fee income and supply chain issues have made running universities a much more expensive endeavour.  Add to that universities’ ambitious plans to achieve Net Zero through radical changes to policy and operations, and this leaves universities facing both existential and practical challenges.
