The latest Triad data from National Grid has revealed that 2017-18 was the first time that all three peaks were below 50GW since the turn of the century. It was also the first time that two have occurred in February. The Triads are the three half-hourly settlement periods of highest GB demand separated by at least 10 days between 1 November and the end of February. The data, published on Thursday 22 March, also revealed that the 2017-18 period was only the second time that a Triad has occurred between 6-6.30pm.
